In 1985, my family and I visited this castle on Loch Ness, Northern Scotland. We took a boat ride on the Loch Ness and I filmed pictures of Urguhart Castle from the Loch. The Castle was destroyed by the Jacobians to prevent others from using it. The whole castle sits on a mount next to the water making it difficult to attack from the Loch. The tower is the most prominent feature left of the castle.
