Easy reading and an exciting novel about three sailors trapped on Okinawa at the end of WWII when the island was supposed to be secure. Jap snipers were everywhere. Unexploded bomb shells sat in roads and farms. Two major typhoons hit the island in September 1945 and October 1945 killing hundreds of people and sinking hundreds of ships in Naha bay.
