As part of a majoring marketing campaign for my five novels published with Authorhouse and Xlibris.com I added two chapters as per Kirkus review to expand the characters and the plot. All new high quality 300 dpi photos are being included to replace the 75 year old WWII pictures. I hope when the book is released everyone will give it a read.
The Junior High novel about my 33 years teaching secondary education during the 1960’s to the 1990’s had been also converted to a TV Pilot series called , “Don’t be Square,” and is listed for producers on http://www.inktip.com. The script focuses more on the drama and humor of the times and particularly three young male teachers, John Cardone the PA announcer in the morning and Social Studies teacher, Richard (Rick) Knapp, science teacher and co-Ski Club advisor and Football coach, and Pelham Mead, Physical Education teacher and Health Education teacher. The name of the Junior high is Kakiat Junior High, but in the book it is called Cucamonga Junior High school to prevent being sued. Now 45 years after, Kakiat Junior High is gone forever and converted into an Elementary school in the East Ramapo Central School district in Spring Valley, New York.
Hope all you prospective teacher buy this book and read it. It is right up there with “Up the Down Staircase,” “Blackboard Jungle,” and “TV’s “Hello Mr. Kotter.”
I also converted my novel Jesus and John (The early years) to a script which is also listed on http://www.inktip.com.
Have a great day.
